Bad Sensor Jun 30, 2010 The sensor doens't work. I have to manual flush it everytime, so what difference does it make?

Had to return it flushes without anyone in the room. Jun 04, 2010 We had to return the unit for a refund. The device's sensor is deffective. It flushes by itself when there is no one in the room (yes I had a camera recording it). I played with the sensor adjustment screww for hours in all possible settings and it still would phantom-flush. Too bad because it is a noble idea.

Using this for my toilet trained cat Dec 10, 2009 I purchased this auto flusher so I wouldn't have to flush the toilet for my toilet trained cat. It was easy to install, but a little tricky to adjust so it would work for a cat, but it does! I wish the instructions were a little more clear on how to make adjustments, but I was able to figure it out. All in all it works great for what I purchased it for, which I know is not what the product was designed for. I will be purchasing another one of these for my second bathroom for the cat shortly.
This product will allow me to take a vacation and not have to have someone visit my house twice a day to flush the toilet for the cat. I'm very pleased with it!

Absolute waste of money Sep 12, 2009 I tried everything possible to make this work but the design is so poor, it just can't work. It's sensor is located at the side and it's so erratic, sometimes it flushes itself in the middle of the night. No matter how well you set it, there are going to be times when your little kid gets off the toilet bowl and a mound of goo stays waiting on you sometimes the whole night through! What is use then of an automatic toilet flusher? This is a complete rip- off and the company knows that. This should have been pulled off the shelves a long time ago. Do not buy this.
How not to save water - Get one of these. Jun 27, 2009 This might be a good idea, but getting it to work as it should, might be harder than you think. Installation may require you remove all your current (old parts) and replace with new ultra thin/small parts. The standard equipment in "One piece" toilets doesn't allow installation. Once all the parts were replace with new thin parts, the installation was quite easy. Next comes adjusting the sensor for proper range. (lots a luck) You might even need to replace the batteries you put in to begin with, because you might run them down trying to get the sensor to trigger at the desired range. The first one (I purchased 2) only took a week getting it to trigger at the desired range. The second one (learning from the first) only took 5 days and two sets of batteries. It seemed to trigger at the desired distance but would flush continually for 15 to 20 minutes. Even when I removed the trigger device it would run and run and run. The only way to stop it was remove the batteries. Checked to assure no moisture was setting it off. I put the batteries back in. All seemed fine. The in the middle of the night (fairly sure I didn't sleep walk) the toilet flushed and flushed and flushed by it's self. Would I buy this item again? If I had known the problems I would have ... Still yes. While expensive, I like technical stuff plus the major advantage when it works, is you reduce the chances of passing/getting germs passed by touching the handle. Yes I know, you're supposed to was your hands, but you have to touch the faucet and put germs and get some in the process. So you probably already guessed it, the faucet is touch free as well. For saving water, you still use just as much as you always did. But when it decides its going to run without you ... You just might use more than you expect.
