 An absolute WASTE of money. Jul 28, 2010
We purchased this litter box approximatley 2 weeks ago from PetSmart. For the first couple of days, this item worked perfectly. However, over the following days, I noticed that the green light was not on intermittently. I checked and checked the top/lid and eventualy the light would come back on.
One thing I did not like about this litterbox during the next twoo weeks, is the area the cat has to do its "duty" is very small, and many times, they would leave their "presents" on the lid of the unit, which defeats the purpose of this item.
The last time I changed out the litter, which was three days ago, the light was on after I was finished. I noticed today that the green light was not on again, and looked as if it had only been on for a few hours after the cleaning by the contents of the "bucket" in the rear. I took the top off, checked to make sure everything it was where it should be, but no matter what I did, the green light would not come on. I disassembled the unit, and put it back together, still no green light.
I called PetSafe to discuss this item with them, and they advised me since I did not have the receipt from PetSmart, that they could not help me. I also advised them that I had just tripped over the unit, and caught my foot on the edge of the unit, where tangs hang over and out from the product, and cut my foot approximately 1" and it did bleed. I advised the I really hoped that my foot did not get infected since it was cut on a sharp point protruding from the bowl that is used by cats to urniate in and deficate in (although I did scrub it, and apply antibiotic to it). I did not get a response. I then asked to speak to a supervisor, and was put on hold. After approximately two minutes, I was told that all supervisors were in a meeting. How convenient.
Poor quality product, and poor customer service. I am out of over $100.00 in two weeks time. It is a sad state that no matter what you buy these days, you must keep a receipt due to cheaply and poor quality items.

I ordered this litterbox for our girl kitty who's very picky about her litter. It worked for 3 days then it died. I haven't been able to fix it to get it working again. I don't know what's wrong with it, or if it's just a piece of junk. I wouldn't recommend this litterbox since it quit workign and I'm still trying to get it fixed. It's created a huge mess at home since it's broken! :(

Just bought the litter box on line, been in use for a couple of weeks. The only complaint I have is that the urine ends up in little clumps that don't get picked up. So the smell doesn't go away. I'm going to try changing the type of litter, but not sure it will work.

After having the petsafe simply clean cat litter box for only 3 weeks the bowl stopped turning! Called them and they said i had to pay $20 for a new bowl motor!!!!! What a bunch of CROCK!!! Would not recommend for people to buy.

Not worth the money. Cat usage kept knocking conveyer cover off, stopping the machine.
