Amazing accessory for Littermaid - but not without annoyances. Sep 06, 2008 I have two large male cats that love to dump out. In a lot of ways, my two cats are better at cleaning up after themselves than I am - and it drives my wife crazy. This product is helping transform my wife's image of me from being a messy man with sloven tendencies into a technology driven domestic innovator.
So - yeah - I don't implement the Robot vacuum plan like we'd all like - but this Littermaid/Litterworks system feels like we've moved up in the world from feline chamber pots to the miracle of water flushing toilets.
We've had it for 2 months - and other than the lousy cat-scratch instructions (yes - some assembly is required and it isn't difficult, the instructions are just poorly documented - thus minus a star,) the only thing that bugs me with this package deal are the flaws in the Littermaid Automatic Litterbox - and that is with every Littermaid I've owned except the first one - the Litterworks stand is ALMOST perfect.
I don't mean to harp, but Littermaid could COMPLETELY dominate the automated litter scooping market, but they cut corners with under powered motors, stagnation of innovation and a seeming strategy of making the machines as disposable as the waste it was designed to scoop.
To help me get past my irritations, each time one fails, I've resolved to box up, gift wrap and ship, as a thank you gift, the failed Littermaid to an executive at Littermaid.
I'd recommend that for the sake of this review, we ignore the irritations of the Litter Maid. I'm probably one of the laziest domestic helpers ever born in North America - I've made automatic litter scoopers a study. As of yet, despite LitterMaid's very annoying corner cutting, it is still one of the only automated poop scoopers I'd want in my house.
And the Litterworks stand? In my opinion, it is one of the most important pieces of furniture that my wife and I own. I hope my kids fight over it when we both pass on.

could be better Dec 27, 2007 There are two parts to this product, the stand and the automatic litterbox. The litterbox is not performing well. The motor doesn't seem to be strong enough. The stand is working out well. The piece that hooks into the litterbox didn't fit properly, so I have it taped, and as such works well, but at this price, I felt using tape should not have been necessary.
